Do you find that you are often responding to events in your life in ways you don’t want to, like responding to a situation with irritability or fear when you want to be responding with ease and flexibility?
Do you find your emotions hard to understand at times, or wish that somehow you could feel differently than you actually do in certain kinds of situations?
Do you find that your behaviours don’t always align with the kind of person you know you really are?
Consider the ways that Clinical Hypnotherapy can be helpful in changing your patterns. Through the benefits of the open-mindedness facilitated by the hypnotic state and the use of protocols to help you imagine how you really want to be responding, it is possible to repattern how you think and therefore how you respond, no matter how stuck you feel you have been.
As an ARCH Canada accredited and registered Clinical Hypnotherapist, I specialize in helping young adults and open-minded individuals repattern their beliefs and responses through hypnotherapy.
I specialize in helping clients make change in 3 main areas:
Reducing Fears & Phobias
Repatterning to diminish fear responses that are out of proportion and get in your way
Recovering from the impact of past events
Repatterning to diminish unwanted responses rooted in past events
Shifting Insomnia
Repatterning to help you sleep easily and peacefully
More About Clinical Hypnotherapy
What is Clinical Hypnotherapy?
Clinical Hypnotherapy is a healing tool that uses guided hypnosis to help clients repattern thoughts, beliefs, and responses so they can live their best lives. Clinical Hypnotherapy can help clients get relief from anxiety, reduce activation related to past events, and change behaviours that have been hard to change.
It is a collaborative process in which client and hypnotherapist work together to achieve well-defined therapeutic goals.
What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a natural state of being that combines deep physical relaxation with focused concentration and mental alertness. It is a natural state for all of us – for example, we are regularly in this state in the moments before we fall asleep each night – in which we are able to access the subconscious mind, which is often the level where problematic beliefs and patterns of response are rooted.
By accessing the open-mindedness and problem-solving creativity of the subconscious mind, individuals can make meaningful change to beliefs, responses, and behaviours that are acting as obstacles to living their best lives.
Clinical hypnotherapy is:
Client-centred
The outcomes and goals of hypnotherapy are determined by you (in a particular situation, how do you want to feel? To respond?)
Root-cause therapy
The clinical hypnotherapy approach recognizes that we often need to address the root causes that are leading to responses as a means to make deep-rooted and lasting change.
Trauma-informed
The process and pacing of clinical hypnotherapy stems from a strong understanding of the impact of possible past traumas or adverse events.
Respectful
We will work on what you want to work on or, with full prior discussion, on what seems to need to be worked on, to achieve your goals. We won’t be working on things you don’t want to work on.
Time-limited
The treatment plan will include an estimate of how many sessions we likely need to achieve your goals. Many problems, even those that are long-standing or entrenched, can be addressed in a surprisingly low number of carefully planned sessions.
